Bob Laxton MP is calling upon the Government to reintroduce empty property rate relief immediately. Bob has signed an Early Day Motion which highlights the imperative of this measure in releasing the supply of affordable properties.

“The removal of the relief is having serious unintended consequences”, states Bob Laxton, “the supply of affordable commercial property is being constrained and regeneration schemes are being held up – damaging those areas with the weakest demand and greatest need of investment in it. The removal of the relief is adding down pressure to a falling market. It must be reinstated immediately”.
