Bob Raises Awareness of Prostrate Cancer

Bob Laxton MP has signed an Early Day Motion in Parliament supporting the campaign to find more effective ways to combat prostate cancer. The 'Seven out of Ten' campaign is trying to alert the public to the fact the 7 out of 10 men do not receive the full range of treatments availbale such as chemotherapy and drug options. Bob stated "Prostate cancer is often not given the attention it deserves and access to treatment should not be left to chance." This situation is especially true for sufferers in the late stages of the disease. Bob has also written to the Chief Executive of the Derby Primary Care Trust promoting this campaign and urging the Trust to make sure all options including chemotherapy are offered to patients in Derby.
